ELEVEN Mount Kelly swimmers were selected to represent the South West in the 2015 English Schools inter-divisional National Championships which took place at Sunderland Aquatics Centre over the weekend.

There were some excellent performances by the South West team, with many excellent swims coming from the Mount Kelly swimmers.

Mount Kelly swimmers: Julian Chan Quee Lin, gold in the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 4x100 free relay and bronze in the 4x100 medley relay. Oliver Taverner, silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 4x100 medley relay.

Alex Seymour, silver in the 200m butterfly and bronze in the 4x100 medley relay. Lauren Hession, bronze in the 100m freestyle and in the 4x100 free relay. Kaylee Dekker, bronze in the 4x100 free relay. Taku Chaza and Donovan McAntagart, bronze in the 4x100 medley relay.

The other swimmers on the South West team from Mount Kelly who all set personal best times in their individual races just missing medals were Ben Staig, Tom Brew, Georgina Dennis and Jack Plummer.

The senior boys' category, which contained Julian, Ben and Donovan alongside three other swimmers from across the South West. won the senior boys' age group category with a total of 86 points across the two day competition.
