TAVISTOCK Squash team has played its fourth and fifth games in the Plymouth Company Squash League.

Their fourth game was a home tie against Construction Services. Tavistock were represented by Stuart Cox, Will Westlake, Simon Powell, Richard Baxter and Steve Luxton.

Steve Luxton took the first game, but his opponent came back strongly to win the match 3-1; Richard Baxter, in an entertaining game in a game which could have gone either way, lost 3-2; Simon Powell came back superbly from 0-2 to win 3-2; Will Westlake lost 0-3 despite three close games while Stuart Cox, despite some good squash and long rallies, also lost 0-3.

The fifth game was an away tie against Plymouth University's second team. Tavistock were represented by Steve Tripp, Stuart Cox, Will Westlake, Richard Baxter and Steve Luxton.

Steve Luxton won the first set before losing losing 1-3; Richard Baxter went two up but his opponent's determination enabled her to turn it around to win 3-2. Will Westlake, Stuart Cox and Steve Tripp all found themselves in good close games with Will and Stuart losing 1-3 before with Steve took the final game winning 3-1.

The team's next game is an away fixture against New Zapp on January 7.
