Tavistock seconds v South Devon 2nds
TAVISTOCK made a trip across the moors to play a South Devon seconds struggling at the wrong end of the table.
South Devon batted first and a good start resulted in 50 coming up without losing a wicket.
Chris Hutchins made the breakthrough for Tavistock, dismissing the South Devon openers. Wickets continued to fall on a regular basis with nobody dominating the bowlers.
125 all out was a disappointing effort for the home side with the Tavistock bowlers sharing the wickets — Andy Gauler with three was tops while Sam Willetts, Jamie White and Chris Hutchins each had a brace.
Tavistock had a disappointing start; early wickets saw the score slump to 23-2. Phil Bees and John McGahey took the score to 67 before Bees was dismissed. Monger followed shortly after then Sam Willetts joined McGahey for a match winning stand of 52 to take their team home to a six wicket victory.
McGahey finished on 43 not out while Willetts was unbeaten on 32.
