MATT Lake from Tavistock has achieved his brown and black strip belt in kickboxing with the South West Kickboxing Academy.

Matt has started to learn and take on some of the teaching role under the expert eye and guidance of third Dan Steve Lilley. Matt, who has been training with the SWKA since the summer of 2010, since joining them from PUMA Kickboxing in Tavistock, has come on leaps and bounds, and developed a great sparring style, using his reach to his advantage.

Matt competed earlier this year at a MAAS event and is now training toward competing again at more MAAS events later this year and for the next step towards his first dan black belt.
