TAVISTOCK’S Adam Holland was in record form this month as his marathon marathon runs continue with a triumph in The Great Barrow in Suffolk, East Anglia. Based on the Nijmegen military training marches in Holland, the challenge is an amazing event that offers a range from basic to extreme running and walking over four days.

The Great Barrow challenge is a phenomenal 10 marathons in 10 days, with half being ultra’s (from 32/33miles). Adam was first in all the races and at the same time, set six new course records. At the event of the 712 finishing runs, only 33 individuals managed to compete the 10 in 10.

Adam said he loves the event and would recommend it to anyone.

If that was not enough he went on to do a 11th marathon at the Potteries Marathon in Stoke on Trent on July 3. Adam finished second, overtaking a competitor in the last 400m in a time of 2hours 44 minutes.
