South West two

Plympton GSOB 1

THIS really was a game that should have gone the other way for the home side, but it was not to be. Following the great win the previous game against Duchy, Tavistock B, were looking to get some more points on the board against Plympton Grammar School Old Boys.

The game started at a frantic pace and never really settled into any pattern. This could have been the downfall for Tavistock, who were desperately trying to create some control over the game.

Osborne in goal was largely untroubled until, following an injury to one of the visiting players, Tavistock stopped, but with the advantage being correctly played, watched PGSOB power the ball into the goal.

The pace of the game did not let up, with youngsters Russell, Maxa and Kirwin, showing great skill and energy.

Tavistock kept pounding at the PGSOB’s goal, but to no avail, as the keeper was stopping everything.

The rare attacks that came the other way, were handled by Anning and Gott, with Gunther-Rees again showing what a strong defender he is on the left.

The long trip to Penzance, is the next game, where Tavistock hope to have more success.
