TAVISTOCK Community FC U18s secured the DJM Albion League title at Crowndale on Sunday.

In a decider against nearest rivals Hooe Rovers the Tavistock side started brightly and took the lead when Will Lane headed home from close range after five minutes. Hooe took advantage of the strong wind and levelled with a tap in. They then took the lead after 30 minutes following a long throw.

Just before half time when Matt Davidson found space inside the Hooe penalty area but put the effort wide.

Playing with the wind in the second half Tavistock dominated possession and the pressure eventually told when when Sam Hicks held off the attentions of two defenders to fire the equaliser past the goalkeeper. Within minutes Tavistock had the lead when Hicks turned provider crossing for Matt Davidson to slot home at the far post for the winner.
