Tavistock ladies 5 Plainmoor ladies 0 TAVISTOCK Community Football Club ladies began the game at a fast pace and the first goal soon came through Sarah Martin flowing an accurate through ball from player of the match Becky McMullin. Tavistock continued to pile on the pressure and the second goal came from Becky Gordan, who curled the ball into the side netting from just inside the 18 yard box. The third goal soon followed with good play from Robyn Hammond and Becky Turner. A precise through ball to the right wing was met by Sarah Blowey whose cross was deflected into the goal. The first half ended with Plainmoor looking dangerous but the defensive unit of Tania Coker, Chelsea Starbuck, Carleigh Bammens and Lauren Schuttkacker stood firm. The second half began as the first, with Tavistock looking to build on their lead. The fresh legs of Eleanor Mills-Hicks allowed Tavistock to rotate their positions and with an alert Zoe Stock in goal, the defence held firm. The fourth goal came from a cross from the right wing, which was met by the head of Sarah Martin before being smashed into the net by Becky Gordan for her second of the game. Tavistock consolidated their win with a long range effort from Robyn Hammond which eluded both Plainmoor defence and keeper.
