TAVISTOCK club instructor Umberto Bergonzini has just returned from Italy from teaching at the international jujitsu summer camp . A small representation from the Jujitsu Tavistock, Launceston, Swindon and Torquay clubs joined Umberto and travelled to Italy, joining a large number of martial artists from all over Europe who took part in the camp. Umberto said: 'It was a fantastic week, filled with lots of hard training but at the same time with lots of fun. It was an absolute honour to be invited to teach at such a prestigious event. We all learnt a lot from the guest instructors, some of the best in the world. 'We got to practise in various disciplines, Escrima, Karate, Aikido, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hakko Ryu Jujutsu, Goju Ryu Jujitsu and Combat Jujitsu. It was also good to share training tips and experiences with so many practitioners from different countries. 'All in all it was a wonderful experience and we are already looking forward to next year's camp.' Anyone who is interested in trying jujitsu may contact Umberto on 07866 720361.
