Tavistock seconds visited Plymstock and batted first.

The top three of Mark Webber, Nick Goodchild and Sam Willetts all batted well, passing 50 runs each. 222-4 was a fine effort for a weakened side and gave the bowlers something to defend.

Chris Bray and Sam Willetts both took two wickets but the pick of the bowlers was 12 year old Hunter Strand with two wickets for 41 off his nine overs.

This was a spirited display by the inexperienced Tavistock team albeit in a two wicket defeat.
