IT was a lovely day for the Chillaton Fun Run and Walk last month and plenty came out in the sunshine to support a great cause. More than 40 runners and walkers took part in the 2.4 mile event, which started from Haye Park field.

Their efforts helped raise £100 for the fight against Parkinson’s disease.

After their event participants and villagers then tucked into a tasty barbecue.

Organiser Bridget Passmore said:?‘It was the first time we had the fun run and walk with the village barbecue. We had a great day, with amazing weather and already looking forward to next year’s event.’
