HORRABRIDGE Badminton Club took part in a social competition on Sunday at the Plymouth Life Centre.

The competition was open to any social players in the Plymouth and surrounding area's as long as they had not played in leagues or county badminton.

It was organised to give the social players a flavour of competition/ match play. The event was well organised throughout the whole day.

Horrabridge entered the mens over 50s' doubles and both the over 50s and under 50s mixed doubles.

It was a successful day for Horrabridge as social players from the club won the finals of  both their over 50s' sections.

Steve McCormick and Mike King won the over 50s' mens, which was then followed up by Kerry Ward and Colin Jones winning the over 50s' mixed doubles.

Other members representing Horrabridge were Kate McCormick,  Kate Davis, Lynda King, Zoe West, Bob Davis, and Jim Taylor.
