Tavistock A 8
OPM B 3
THIS away game was a fine all round performance from Tavistock — the training seems to be really working out and transferring to the pitch on a Saturday.
Tavistock attacked from the start and with the mobility of Orman, Walker and Donnelly, it was looking positive — Honey linked well with Elliott and Anning and caused problems down the right. The score opened via a penalty flick following a fluid attack and Orman put away the first of his four.
OPMs were continuing to cause some problems and equalised twice via some loose play, but Tavistock started to assert themselves over the home side.
The back line of Tavistock was solid with Gott, Anning and Tosdevin covering most sorties and with the attacking Hansen, scoring his second of the season, Tavistock were controlling the game.
Stanyer junior, scored a brave goal, while Anning netted a perfect flick and Donnelly capitalised on some short corner pressure.
OPM’s did get themselves back into the game but it was all a little too late. Pugsley was controlling in the goal and few chances were a threat.
The pace of the game was piling pressure on the home side and Venton continued the runs through the left and kept feeding the forward line.
