YELVERTON Golf Club held its Autumn ladies' open. Fine weather and excellent course conditions helped to produce high scores from both visitors and home players.

The winners were Liz Lyndon (Yelverton) and Wendy George (Tavistock) with 42 points. The runners up were Ashbury pair Mo Huggins and Lorna Rolfe with 41pts. Caroline Theyer and Chris Longden scored 40pts, winning the Foster cup for the best Yelverton pair.
