Yeovil and Sherborne A 3
Okehampton 4
ON the final day of the league hockey season travelling Okehampton beat a hard Yeovil side.
Regular Oke keeper Andy Harvey, playing in a lone forward role, opened the scoring with a lovely pushed finished from the top of the area.
The hosts needed a win to avoid relegation and they equalised shortly after beating debutant Paul Kingston in goal.
A second followed shortly after for the home side but a confident Oke equalised within minutes. Skipper Parsons found Miller and an uncharacterised pass for four yards out gave Harvey an easy finish.
The second half saw the visitors dominate and regain the lead from a short corner, everybody getting tangled saw the ball squirm loose and fall to a diving Harvey who scored his hat trick before ending up on he floor.
Yeovil pushed hard for the draw and when a flick was awarded against Parsons, Kingston used his legs to save the resulting flick and keep the away side in front.
The visitors made sure of all three points not long after when a swift counter attack saw Speak an Forrester combine to find Parsons who launched the ball home.
Yeovil did get a late consolation but it was to little to late.
Both debutants Paul Kingston and Zac Middleton were superb as was Oke man of the Andy Harvey with his hat trick.
