AT Yelverton Golf Club ladies’ championship there was a good entry last week on a fine day with some excellent scores.

The winner of the Underhill Scratch Trophy was Gilly Javis with gross 78 and 75 and the runner up was Meg Roussouw with a gross 82 and 78.

The Underhill Handicap Trophy was won by Meg Rossouw with a nett 73 and 69 and the runner up was Sarah Gard with a nett 73 and 71.

Miss J Underhill, who originally presented the trophy, was lady captain in 1962.
