YELVERTON  Golf Club Veterans held their Captain’s charity day four ball Stableford competition on November 8.

First place with 115 points were Ken Wheeler, John Goad, Ray J Bennett and Keith Stokes. In second, on 114 pts, were Mike Ferris, Eddie Primmer, David Hanley, Keith Marshall while in third, on 113pts points were John Soutar, Roger Mechan, Noel Preston-Jones and Divaker Rai.

Nearest the pin competition was won by David Garry (at the sixth hole) and Ray J Bennett (17th hole).

A sum of £257.60 was raised in aid of the Crohn’s and Colitis UK charity.
