ON Monday, September 4, the ladies section of Yelverton Golf Club held their Four Ball Better Ball Open competition in splendid weather.

The winners were Nicola Sandon and Alison Pollock from Saunton, with 41 points.

Runners up were Maggie Best and Irene Lowry from Bigbury, with 40 points.

The Joan Foster Trophy for the best Yelverton pair was won by Sue Rumbold and Teresa Holt with 37 points
