ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a three ball, two to count, Stableford competition was held.

The winners of division one were Gareth Holt, Steve Rice and Richard McFarlane with 85 points; in second were Bob Collett, Marcia Collet and Ian Drayner with 77pts on the back nine from, in third Kevin Cornwall, Mark Wonnacott and Malcolm Hill.

Division two was won by Roger Halliday, Reg Wonnacott and Dave Stallion with 73pts, Richard Johnson, David Stanbury and Pete Grant were second with 72pts closely followed into third by Perry Vallance, Eric Pengelly and Steve Peake with 71pts.

On Wednesday the ladies’ section played a Stableford competition and the winner of the silver division was Sue Stanbury with 33pts after countback with Marcia Collett in second. The bronze division was won by Doris Jewell with 34pts and Mary Keir took second place with 33 pts.
