ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club in amazing conditions a four ball better ball Stableford competition, with both scores to count on the par threes, was held.

Division one was won by Malcolm Hooper and Richard Prouse with 53 points after count back from in second Richard McFarlane and Graham Holt; in third place were Adam Cook and Nick Atkinson with 50 and in fourth with 49 points were Ian Moore and Dan Hudson winning on the back nine.

The winners of division two were Rob Green and Sam Evans with 54pts; Alan Grimshaw and Bernard Olesqui were second with 52 pts; Shane Monnox and Ricky Wooldrige were awarded third place with 51pts attaining a better back nine than Richard Johnson and David Stanbury also with 51pts.

The ladies this week decided to play a ‘Delaney with a Difference’ and the winning team were Vida Appleton, Babs Beaney, Val Dodsworth and Sue Stanbury with nett 64.4 and in second place with nett 66.4 were Judith Ezard, Maureen Willcocks and Sylvie Gowers.
