A FOUR ball better ball Stableford competition was contested in blustery conditions on February 25 at Okehampton Golf Club.
The winners of division one after countback on the back six were Alan Stokes and club captain Evan Rees with 44 points, placing Malcolm Hooper and Rob Green in second also with 44 points.
Will Searle and Colin Cornwall were third with 43 points just beating Martin O’Connor and Mark Wonnacott on the back nine. Division two was won by John Halliday and Dave Stallion with 48 points and Mike Davis and Alan Grimshaw were second with 44 points.
Coming in third also attaining 44 points were Tim Butler and Roger Halliday and fourth place went to Paul Rogers and Stuart Brealy with 42 points.
In foggy but mild weather the winners of the latest seniors’ competition, a three ball one to count medal, were Nick Waldron, Graeme Ross and Bob Reddington with an impressive net 51.
Runners up were Dave Ferguson, Andy Shapland, and Mick MacDonald with a net 58.
