ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club, in amazing conditions for the time of year, a three ball, two to count Stableford competition was held.
The winners of division one were Daniel Hudson, Ian Moore and Paul Prouse with 87 points.
Second place went to Kevin Cornwall, Matt Parry and Camoran McMorrin with 79pts and Malcolm Hooper and Richard Prouse took third place with 76pts.
The winners of division two were Steve Browne, Brian May and Steve Pike with 83pts, Mike Charlesworth, Steve Robinson and Ron Copeland were second with 79pts leaving Roger Halliday, Tim Butler and Andrew Sinclair in third with 75pts after countback.
On Saturday evening the annual inauguration dinner was held where outgoing captain Alan Stokes handed over the reins to the new club captain Simon Taylor.
This was followed on Sunday morning by the captains’ drive in shotgun competition and the winners were Alan Stokes, Brian May and Mary Keir with 78 points and Mick Curran, Tim Butler and Sue Stanbury were second with 77pts.
