YELVERTON golfers enjoyed success at the Stover Golf Club Seniors Open, a four ball better ball competition at the end of September.

On a prefect day for golf there was a large turn-out of 160 taking part in the open and the weather was kind all day.  A superb and well organized event by the club seniors attracted excellent teams and scores throughout the day.

The best visitors’ score was Yelverton Golf Club seniors pairing Ray Bennett (12 handicap) and John Pritchard (15 h/c) (pictured). Playing off three quarters of their handicap for this event they score 41 points and won the best visiting pairs competition.
