ON Monday, April 24 Okehampton Golf Club held their Seniors’ Spring Open.

This was won by Rev Stuart Wilson, Martyn Gannon and John Ripley from Okehampton with 78 points, just ahead on the back three from the Okehampton team in second place consisting of Roger Slack, John Flavin and Ted Boswell.

The best combination team were Steve Blackmur, Adrian Tilley and Richard Johnson from Okehampton Golf Club and Ashbury Golf Club, also with 78 pts.

The best Visitor Team prize went to Richard Stevens, Chris Hazelwood and Colin Wayman from Fingle Glen and Exeter Golf and Country Club, with 77 pts.

On Saturday, April 29 an individual Stableford saw members competing for the Anniversary Niblick which was won by division one winner Kevin Cornwall with 41pts; second place went to Mark Wonnacott with 38pts just ahead on the back nine from Jay Carroll in third place.

The division two winner was Rob Green with 40pts, in second place Graham Moysey with 39pts just ahead on the back nine from Paul Rogers in third place.

In division three the top three places come in with 38pts each. After countback the winner was Steve Latham. Second place went to Roger Halliday and third place to Michael MacDonald.
