On Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club in amazing conditions a four ball better ball Stableford competition for the Winter Trophy was contested.

The winners of division one and the trophy were Ian Moore and John Flavin with 46 points. In second place were Rob Green and Gareth Holt with 45pts closely followed into third by Jonathan Mansell and Cameron McMorrin with 44pts.

Division two was won by Evan Rees and Toby Gostling with 44 pts; Sam Evans and Reg Prescott took second with 43pts and Paul Douglas and Rod Jones were third with 42pts.

On Wednesday the ladies’ section enjoyed a three ball ‘Texas scramble’ competition and the winners with a nett 55.8 were Francis Harbron, Grace Boag-Matthews and Maggies Caws; in second with nett 58 were Sue Williams, Judith Ezard and Di Johnson while in third position were Cherry James, Maureen Willcocks and Jo Boswell with nett 59.
