ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a four ball two to count Stableford competition was held.

The winners of division one, way out in front with an excellent 87 points were Barry Down, Matt Parry, Robin Webb and Andy Parry.

Second place was taken by Del Owen, Graham Moysey, Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid with 84pts and in third with 78 points were Daniel Hudson, Timothy Hudson, Gareth Holt and David Way.

Division two was won by Ted Boswell, Alan Lawson, Keith Harvey and Rod Jones with 78pts and in second were Andy Ewen, Bryan Evans, Bob Collett & Marcia Collett with 75pts. In third with 74points were Mike Hern, Paul Ayris, Jay Carroll and Henry Harbron.

On February 24 all eligible ladies entered a qualifier for the Veterans’ Knockout. The winners with 41pts were Lin Atkinson and Jane Warren; in second were Carol Skrzypczak and Elaine Marwood with 37pts. Lin and Jane will now go on to represent the club in the Devon County Veterans Ladies Golf Association knockout competition in April.
