HURDWICK Golf Club held its annual NSPCC Putter charity competition earlier this month.

As usual this event was well supported by members for the worthy children’s charity.

A beautiful day in glorious conditions reflected a range of very respectable scoring.

The competition winner Stan Bennett (41 points) held off the challenge of Justin Ryder and Neil Cleave.

The separate Putter competition was won by Neil Cleave with an excellent 26 putts over the 18 holes played.

From the proceeds a cheque of £102 was forwarded to the NSPCC, who were the real winners of the day.
