ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club the format of the day was a Four Ball Texas Scramble.

The overall winners with a nett score of 52.5 were Ted Boswell, Ron Uren, Paul Fewings and David Way. Second position went to Andy Parry, LewisParry, Matt Parry and Paul Rattenbury with nett 53.3, and in third place with a nett 53.9 were Mark Wonnacott, Martin O’Connor, Kevin Cornwall and Malcolm Hill.

On Saturday night club members enjoyed a superb banquet to celebrate the inauguration of our new captain Evan Rees and on Sunday morning the new Captain’s Drive-In Shotgun competiton was played. This was a three ball two to count Stableford and the winners were Steve Mander, Bob Collett and Sue Williams with 76pts.

Evan Rees, Stuart Wilson and Michelle Widdows were second with 73 points and in third place with 69pts were Marcia Collett, Barry Coaker and Dennis Edwards.
