ON Saturday Okehampton Golf Club held a four ball better ball front nine, greensomes back nine competition.

The winners of division one with 45 points were Malcolm Hooper and Rob Green pushing Pete Murphy and Matt Mills into second with 43pts. Third place went to Nick Atkinson and David Williams with 42pts and in fourth with 41 points were Alan Hough and Gareth Holt with 41pts.

Division two was won by Roger Slack and Kevin Harding achieving 46 points and Pete Grant and Richard Johnson were second with 45pts. Dave Grimes and Bryan Evans were third after count back on the back nine leaving Paul Fewings and Richard Goodger fourth all attaining 44 pts.

On Wednesday the ladies’ section played their annual turkey trot Stableford competition and way out in front with 39 points was Sue Williams; Francis Harbron was second with 34pts and Marcia Collett was third with 33pts.
