ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a four ball better ball Stableford competition was the format of the day which resulted in the top three pairs of division one, all achieving 45 points.

After countback it was decided that the winners were Mike Hern and Paul Ayris, in second were Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid and third place went to Pete Murphy and Matt Mills. Lewis Parry and Will Searle were fourth with 43pts.

Division three was won by Pete Grant and David Stanbury with an impressive 49pts. Alan Mann and Rob Green were second with 45pts on the back nine from, in third Kevin Harding and Richard Goodger; brothers John and Steve Latham came in fourth with 44pts.

On Wednesday the ladies’ section played a three ball two to count team competition the winners were Sue Williams, Sue Davies and Mary Keir and in second place were Marcia Collett, Cherry James and Vida Appleton.
