SATURDAY at Okehampton Golf Club brought the annual ‘turkey trot’ individual Stableford competiton and the winner of division one with 39 points was Alan Grimshaw.

Phil Martin was second with 38pts after count back placing Alan Stokes in third.

Paul MacDonald was the winner of division two with 36pts on the back nine from, in second Russell Bowden. Richard Goodger was third and Paul Fewings was fourth both achieving 35pts.

A clear winner in division three was Mike Davis with 40pts Steve Latham was second with 36pts, Bill Tucker took third place with 35 points after countback placing Ron Uren in fourth also with 35 points.

The ladies’ section played their monthly medal competition and the winner of the silver division was Penny Deakin with an excellent nett 69.

Francis Harbon was second with nett 71 winning on the back nine and placing Sue Stanbury in third also with nett 71.

The winner of the bronze division was Mary Keir with nett 70 and in second place with nett 81 was Elaine Marwood, Sylvie Gowers was third with nett 84.
