CONSERVATIVE B belatedly kicked their stuttering season into life in the Tavistock Snooker League with a decent 4-1 win over the ‘hot and cold’ West Devon B.

A silk like Dolan never looked in trouble with a resounding win over West Devon’s Horrell; likewise Moloney, who in his high scoring frame against Hart, put Con B two up.

Martin McKechnie stretched Con B’s lead to 3-0 with a hard fought game with Roger Rich and Mark Evans made it 4-0 for Con B after getting the better, eventually, over a resilient John Rich.

West Devon pulled one back in the final frame with Hoare taking out Con B’s ‘star man’ Ewings to save his teams blushes.

West Devon D again failed to live up to their true potential as they fell to Golf A, who picked themselves up again after their recent reversal.

Paul Shrimpton gave WD D the best of starts with a one sided victory over Golf’s Treble.

That, however, was as good as it got for West Devon D with Golf A’s Wylie starting a run of four wins on the trot for his team with a superb win over the highly rated Murton.

Finnigan was back in the fray again as he tamed WD D’s Decieco, followed up by Golf A’s Turnbull who pulled out all the stops to edge out the tenacious Ward in a close encounter.

Skipper Pope played superbly for Golf A in the final frame with a good margin win over the effervescent May to make it 4-1 for his team.
