Mannamead ladies seconds 0
DESPITE the rainy conditions the Tavistock ladies did not disappoint with complete domination from the first whistle.
In the third minute Abi Hall opened the scoring for Tavistock followed shortly by goals from Laura Armstrong and Robynne Honey.
Short sharp passes and strong ball pace put a determined Mannamead on the back foot leading to three further goals to Laura Armstrong and one more to Abi Hall.
Centre back George Patterson made her scoring debut with a lovely run to find herself with a scoring opportunity which she converted to make it 9-0 to Tavistock at half time.
The second half bought two early attacks from the Plymouth side which were cut out by the defence of Evans, Patterson and goalie Viggers. More attacking play from Tavistock followed with a penalty flick converted by captain Armstrong.
Mannamead did not give up and kept their spirits up against Tavistock's continuing pressure but the home side put a further seven goals away. They came from from Becky Lamb, pulling the ball in from a tight angle while George Patterson and Robynne Honey both scored from short corners, while Honey added two more.
Tavistock Ladies firsts now stand just one point from the top of the Trelawney one league to leaders Duchy at the near midway point of the season.
