TAVISTOCK Hockey Club under 12’s girls’ hockey team are enjoying great success on the pitch this season, winning the majority of their games.
Playing in the regular tournaments held at Marjons Hockey Club in Plymouth, the team are displaying some excellent hockey skills against some highly skilled teams, and thoroughly enjoying themselves at the same time.
Jackie Radford, on behalf of the club, said: ‘The improvement in the teams’ performance during the course of the season has been great, and is doubtless down to the excellent coaching given by Tavistock Hockey Club at the weekly training sessions, and the hard work of all the team members.
‘Not only are these young ladies displaying some fantastic hockey skills, but they have quickly gelled as a team, and are showing exemplary sports-manship in every game.
With just one tournament left before the grand final held in March, the team are working hard to ensure they come away with some medals.’
