ALMOST £1,000 was raised for Lamerton Village Hall thanks to a popular fun run and duck race in the village. Despite a heavy shower the day was still a huge success with 652 ducks being raced, and many taking part in the mile fun run. The first back from the run was Sam Adams in 7mins and 21secs; 2, Charlie Elkington, 7min 22secs; 3, Will Paxman, 7min 34secs. Mary Williams from Lamerton won the duck race. Organisers expressed thanks to all who took part and supported the event.
