Tavistock A 2
Plymouth Marjons 3
TAVISTOCK men's second team deserved more from this encounter after dominating large amounts of the hockey game.
Following another shaky start in which the visitors capitalised on a break-away goal, Tavistock managed to claw themselves back into the game.
At a goal each, the game was looking evenly balanced with chances coming at either end, but Tavistock were the masters of their own downfall, when over complicating the possession in defence led to further goals from the visitors.
The third goal by PMHC was a gloriously taken shot from a loose ball in the D.
Tavistock knew that they had nothing to lose and battered the PMHC defences and managed to score a second from a good move down the flank. This cranked up the pressure and the game was flowing one way.
Desperately going for the equaliser, Tavistock continued to apply the pressure and the usual Plymouth Marjons' discipline began to fracture.
Tavistock nearly equalised within the last few minutes but it was not to be.
