Isca fought back but Okehampton’s strong defensive tackles by Rachel Adams and Rachel Hammett kept them from breaking through and having a shot on goal. Some strong marking from Lisa May stopped Isca short.
The Exeter side were rewarded a short corner which they then managed to convert into a goal. Both Isca and Okehampton continued strong play with breaks from both teams but no more goals where conceded for the rest of the half.
The second half again showed pressure from both teams and Oke midfielders Lucy Wiseman, Ellie Shayler and Elsa Frangleton made good use of the wings well to push up and create more shots on goal from the forwards. Oke’s continual pressure were rewarded the next goal where Rochelle Woolacott knocked the ball in the goal from the left hand post after some quick passing from Oke’s midfield.
Isca retaliated with a strong attack but they were thwarted thanks to a superb performance from Oke’s goalkeeper and player of the match Ella Kaye, who saved numerous shots on goal.
Isca’s strong attack was rewarded by a long corner where Oke were unable to keep out Iscas strong centre forward who scored. Okehampton had one last opportunity in the form of a short corner where the whole team came up but Isca managed to keep them out to complete the away victory.
