OKEHAMPTON travelled away to Sidmouth this week for their final match of a long and gruelling season. The match started with intensive pressure from Sidmouth and Ottery which tested the nerve of the visiting defence.

The second half saw a much stronger and dog-eared performance from Okehampton.

Winnie Rademaker and Eisla Gibb organised the push forward for Oke to score. Sandy Douglas made several incisive runs into home territory in search of the equaliser, but to no avail. Viv Weatherington and Alex Collins also had multiple opportunities to score but were denied by Sidmouth and Ottery.

Okehampton were frustrated but did not relent until the final whistle. The Oke player of the match went to Alice Wiseman.

Okehampton seconds finished fourth in the league, an excellent effort from the whole team considering this was the first time back in the league for some years.

The team gave a special thanks to the captain Nic Stoneman for her hard work this season and our great spectators' support.
