HE Lambs recorded another victory when they defeated a spirited Cullompton outfit. A fine first half performance saw Tavistock totally dominate possession, creating numerous scoring opportunities, from which they built a three goal advantage by half time.

It took the Lambs just six minutes to open the scoring when a fine move saw Josh Grant provide the perfect cross for Jack Crago to slot the ball low into the corner of the net.

The visitors continued to dominate the game and doubled their lead when Luke Brown scored a superb goal. He collected the ball in the middle of the park, waltzed past his marker, cut inside to just outside the angle of the penalty area before firing an unstoppable shot which arched into the far top corner of the net.

In the 20th minute another fine move saw Jack Crago set up,Tyler Elliot but his shot flashed inches wide of the post.

Cullompton were restricted to the odd counter and in one raid Josh Oak was forced to make a good save to deny Donahue from reducing the arrears.

In the 38th minute the Lambs scored their third goal of the evening when Dave Hallett produced a inch perfect defence splitting through ball, for Warren Daw to fire home from 15 yards.

Two minutes later Luke Brown was substituted, as a result of a head wound, he could take no further part in the game, and was replaced by Tegan Rosenquest.

Just before the interval Tavistock should have increased their lead but Tyler Elliot saw his fine effort just go inches over the bar.

Cullompton certainly stepped up their performance in the second half, not giving the visitors as much time on the ball. However, they found it very difficult to create any really clear cut chances, with the Lambs back line in fine form.

In the 53rd minute a terrific passing move saw the ball find Tegan Rosenquest on the right, he jinked pass two defenders before providing a great pass, but Josh Grant blasted the ball over the bar from eight yards.

Just after the hour mark manager Stuart Henderson made two substitutions with Jake Miller replacing Warren Daw and Jack Tribble replacing Jack Crago.

The home teams first real threat on goal came in the 65th minute when a move saw Donahue shoot wide from 20 yards. Ten minutes later Langabeer shot over the bar when well placed.  With virtually the last kick of the game the home team hit the bar from a corner kick.

This was a game of two halves, the Lambs were good in the first and should have been more than three goals to the good at half time. Cullompton re-grouped in the second half and had some decent possession, but never really looked like creating any good scoring opportunities. No doubt manager Henderson will not be pleased with the second half showing as the team was well below their best during this period.

Man of the match was Dan Evans with another terrific performance.
