TAVISTOCK Comm-unity FC ladies, sporting their brand new kit played a great game on Sunday.

It was a well battled game that saw Tavistock ladies come away as the victors with a 2-1 win. The home side were ready from the off and keen to make a mark on the game after Argyle’s strong result the previous week.

The first goal came for Tavistock from a well set corner delivered by Robyn Hammond that was headed in to the back of the net by Becky Turner. Plymouth Argyle then worked hard and managed to level the score just before the half time whistle from a corner.

The second half was tough but Tavistock continued to battle on and soon made the most of a great link up play, with Robyn Hammond scoring the second goal after being set up by Becky Turner.

Tavistock ladies managed to keep the lead to the end even though the opposition tried for the equaliser they were kept out, thanks to goalkeeper Zoe Stock, who made a couple of superb saves.
