MORE than 400 footballers from all over the county played in Devon Ability Count league fixtures on Crowndale pitches last week.

Football teams from Barnstaple, Bideford, Tiverton, Exeter, Plymouth, Exmouth, Pinhoe and Tavistock took part in this very successful event.

One of the organisers, Allen Lewis from the Tavistock Specials, said: ‘The day was enjoyable for all the players who enjoy their football and catching up with old friends. We had compliments from many managers about the venue at Tavistock Community FC facilities as it’s seven years since these leagues were held on these pitches.’
