Tavistock AFC 5

Bodmin Town 3

TAVISTOCK lost out in this eight goal thriller, which produced some excellent, exciting football, between two very good teams.

The game got off to a fast start, with both sides playing some fluent passing football, it was Bodmin that got the early breakthrough when Neal played the ball through for Adam Carter to slot the ball home from eight yards, with home defence appealing for off side, but the goal was allowed to stand.

In the 16th minute Jack Crago and Glynn Hobbs combined well forcing a great save from Miller to deny Crago from levelling the scores.

The Lambs were now having a really good spell putting the Bodmin defence under pressure; a  Ricki Shepherd cross found Hobbs but his shot flew inches wide of the target.

Ord in the home goal then made a fine save to deny Neal fro scoring, before Hobbs saw his shot from 20 yards go wide of the target.

The Lambs equalised on the half hour following a terrific passing move which was finished off as Hobbs through ball, found Jack Crago who slotted the ball home pass the advancing keeper Miller into the net.
