LOTS of positives could be taken from the game that saw Tavistock A achieve their first win of the season, with the bonus of their first clean sheet too.

This however still sees them propping up the table.

Tavistock changed the formation for this game which saw Bob Cowan playing sweeper, allowing them to play a high pressing structure which payed dividends half way through the first half.

Honey streaking up the right wing like he had from the start, hit a sweet cross into the D. The faintest of touches from Andrews had the Dart keeper confused as to whether the touch was inside or out of the D, but he left it and Tavistock took the lead.

Tavistock continued to press throughout the game with a commanding midfield performance from Nick Aveyard and a strong showing from Jonny Elliot.

The finish was close and with three short corners to Dart in quick succession, the first saved by the Tavistock keeper Martin Osborne and the third superbly sheparded over the bar by Anning.
