Bude A 2
Tavistock A 6
TAVISTOCK using three players from the third team to boost the numbers did not have any negative impact on the squad.
The visitors started in good control and moved the ball well from the centre of the pitch to both flanks. The pace of the attack was relentless and with the power of Doney and Daniels combining with Cooley and Andrews goals were always going to happen.
Five goals were slotted in the first half and Bude were struggling to contain the rampaging visitors.
At the start of the second half the solid Tavistock defence of Lethbridge, Cowen, Cowie and Tosdevin were under immediate pressure and two goals were quickly scored by the home side to mount pressure on the visitors.
Calm was resumed with some movement in the positioning and Tavistock put the foot back on the gas and started to assert themselves again.
With Honey applying speed down the right and Reynolds showing skills up front a final goal was inevitable and was a great settler in the match.
This result maintains Tavistock at the top of the table on equal points with CSOM, but with some tough fixtures to come.
