TWELVE members of the same family all took part in the Burrator 10k on May 21.

The family ran in memory of John Pugh, who had been buried at Sampford Spiney the day before. His four children and eight grandchildren all took part. It was really special all running together as part of the ’John Pugh Runners’ team.

John lived in Sampford Spiney and money donated at his funeral went to the local church there.

The ‘John Pugh runners’ were Lindsay Hobbs, Daisy Hobbs, Louisa Frost, Freddy Frost, Olly Frost, Barney Frost, Giles Pugh, Ben Pugh, Nicola Rickard, Thea Rickard, Amanda Wellesley and Hannah Lennon.
