FOLLOWING hugely popular training camps last year, Tavistock Hockey Club will be running an Easter coaching camp in association with Mount Kelly and WASP Hockey next month.

The camp is aimed at children in school years two to eleven — players of all abilities are welcome.

Club chairman Phil Honey said: 'This year's camp is just building on the success of last year's.

'We achieved great numbers at last year's camp and all the kids enjoyed their time with us. It is a real mix of ages and abilities and our aim is to introduce new young players to the sport and also enhance the skill set of the more experienced young hockey players.

'Tavistock Hockey Club is really moving forward in the development of hockey in the community and these camps for the young players are invaluable for the future of the sport.'

The three-day camp will run at the Mount Kelly astro pitch in Tavistock from April 7 to 9, between 10am and 4pm. Early drop-off and late pick-up is available by prior arrangement for an additional fee.

The cost per day is £20, which includes a free T-shirt and lunch. Children may also have the opportunity to go swimming during the day if they wish.
