TAVISTOCK firsts started the game against White Eagles confidently after beating them at the beginning of the season 6-1. However, Tavistock’s relaxed attitude did not work out well for them.
White Eagles were confident and fast, which unsettled the Tavistock team.
Despite their best efforts Tavistock were unable to save some of White Eagles goals. Several excellent saves were made by keeper Maddie Jones while Tavistock defender Laura Colwill made the save of the game on the line in a one-on-one tackle.
New home player Bea Watt and Jamie Bulbring worked the left side of the pitch well together for the home side and created several attacking opportunities.
In the second half Tavistock came back harder and maintained more of the possession. Several attacking short corners were awarded to the home side but none successful.
Tavistock’s captain, Janice Scott took a penalty flick and lifted the ball into the left corner, however the White Eagles goakeeper just made the save, deflecting the ball to safety to frustrate the home side. Tavistock woman of the match was Bea Watt.
