TAVISTOCK first XI travelled to Thorverton with a number of players missing, but hoping to extend their unbeaten three match run.

Batting first, on a firm surface, Thorverton opener, Andy Pitt, scored a steady 77 to build a platform for a solid total. Baldock, with 60, helped the total along and only Billy Barriball with 4-45 kept the scoreboard down. Again Tavistock were guilty of bowling too many wides. An ill disciplined attack gave away 30 wides in total.

In reply Tavistock never really looked like succeeding in getting the target. Young James White looked assured, with 48, and captain Shaun Daymond, with 53, helped the cause, but too many other failures meant they came up short, being bowled out for 214, 31 runs short of the Thorverton total.
