Brixham seconds v Tavistock seconds

TAVISTOCK made the trip across the moors to Brixham hoping to consolidate their second position in the league.

Putting Brixham into bat, Marc Lewis took an early wicket. Edwards and Coysh then took the score to 60 before captain of the day, Phil Stephens, introduced himself and Chris Hutchins into the attack. This produced devastating results. From 60-1, Brixham collapsed to 99 all out.

Stephens, bowling his left arm spinners, took 5-12 in nine overs, while Hutchins took 4-11 in seven overs.

Tavistock chased the target down comfortably.  Stephens and Watson took the score to 43, Watson making 18 and Stephens 27.

Bees and Russell then took Tavistock to victory by eight wickets and obtained a valuable 20 points.
