WITH spirits running high from their hockey win last week, Okehampton were raring to go. This soon radiated through as great play from Winnie Rademaker and Hannah Whitely assisted Jo Moppett to score the opening four goals.

They scored again when player of the match Kim Davey pulled the ball back to allow Moppett to score her fifth goal of the game.

Okehampton once again found themselves on the attack when a call for a flick was disallowed and shortly after the whistle blew for half time. Both teams came back from the half time team talk with the determination to win.

A superb run from Molly Petherbridge saw her calmly place the ball in the back of the goal to make it 6-0.

The relentless attack from the home side did not stop there as Moppett confidently scored another goal.

Captain Lesley Bingham soon joined the score card from a short corner.

Another short corner then saw Kim Davey bring the score to 9-0. Kim showed her determination when she won Okehampton a penalty flick but the Penzance keeper saved the flick. This soon pushed Penzance to attack the strong Okehampton defence, made up of Nicola Stoneman, Jane Jones, Rachel Hammett, Katie Adams and keeper Shannon Osman.

Penzance won a number of short corners and converted two of them.
